What a beautiful weekend in NY.  High’s in the mid 50’s, low winds, and a whole Friday with Rowan, which we started with a playdate at Brigitte’s.  Mayanne is almost 16 months old,  chatty, generous with her toys, and very cute and inquisitive.  Rowan didn’t quite know what to make of her, so he stuck close to Mommy, but he did play with her toys and flirt with Brigitte.

Then, after a three hour nap, we walked across Central Park for a picnic lunch with Susan where Rowan and mommy shared a mac n cheese.  It was his first non-baby food, and he kept coming back for more.  In the end he had about 5 bites of the cheese, but since they were teeny tiny bites probably amounted to less than the size of a pea.

After that we came home for a quick nap and struggled valiantly to stay awake until Daddy came home.

Then on the weekend it was another picnic, this time with Mommy and Daddy in Carl Schurz Park where we decided to try feeding him apples once again.  You can see the results for yourself.
