The world of ‘da’ and finger pointing goes unabated. From his morning milk (“da” “that’s the door of your bedroom”) to his last diaper change (“da” “that’s your shadow on the wall”), everything must be given a name and description. I’m running out of ways to make “white wall” sound exciting. But Rowan doesn’t seem to care, it’s all new and wonderful to him.
His palate is also expanding into new fruits (papaya and mango) and cuisines (we’re hoping to try Indian this weekend). So far the only things that have consistently been turned down are tomatoes and mac n cheese. And he’s gotten tired of sweet potatoes. Another baby in his class apparently likes vindaloo, so we’re already behind the curve!

But a good book still wins the day.
