By Mommy
We have hit a major milestone! A little over a week ago, Rowan started pointing to things he wants to have identified. He doesn’t use his finger to point, though. Instead he’ll grab whatever digit on someone else is closest to him and use that. Usually that’s Mommy or Daddy’s index finger. A few times it’s been her thumb. And last night it was her big toe. That was a little uncomfortable for all involved. And he gets frustrated if you use a word other than the one he was looking for; sometimes it’s the name of the object, other times the color, and now it’s parts of the object, like the tail on a cat. He also has his favorite items to point to, especially a picture of a spider. No doubt due to Daddy’s many animated readings of “The Very Busy Spider.”
Being with Rowan is still more fun than a tunnel full of monkeys. We love your giggles.
